Our Leadership
Dallas Reformed Baptist Church stands as a beacon of unwavering faith, firmly rooted in the timeless truth of Scripture. We are not a church that compromises on the Word of God; instead, we boldly proclaim Christ from every page of the Bible, preaching Him as the fulfillment of the Old and New Testaments. At the heart of our ministry is a passionate devotion to the gospel, where Christ is the central message and the power of God for salvation.
We are a congregation of believers who take seriously the call to worship, disciple, and evangelize—focusing not just on Sunday services, but on living out the glory of God in our daily lives. With a strong foundation in Reformed theology, we hold to the doctrines of grace and preach the sovereign work of God in salvation, offering hope to a lost world through the finished work of Christ.
Our church is not just a place to sit and listen; it is a family of believers united by the gospel, committed to the truth, and set ablaze with a passion to share that truth with a world in desperate need. Come join us and hear Christ exalted in all of Scripture!
Meet Our Pastor & Deacons
Tyler Ivey
Interim Pastor
Tyler was raised in Northeast Texas, where he regularly heard the gospel at his local Baptist church. At age 11, he trusted in Jesus Christ, resting in the saving grace of His finished work. As a teenager, he sensed a growing call to ministry. He pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Intercultural Studies from Dallas Baptist University, initially planning for missionary work. During his college and young adult years, he was actively involved in evangelism among Muslim students in the Dallas–Fort Worth area and served refugee communities in Europe. Through these experiences, Tyler’s love for the gospel grew, and his calling shifted toward pastoral ministry, with a desire to shepherd and teach God’s people. He went on to earn a Master of Divinity from Westminster Theological Seminary. Tyler has been serving in pastoral ministry since 2024, seeking to faithfully preach Christ and disciple others in the truth of the gospel.
He is married to his wife, Cassie, and they have one daughter. Outside of ministry, he enjoys baseball, reading the Puritans, and studying military history.
Jonathan Russell
Deacon
Jonathan has faithfully served as a deacon at Dallas Reformed Baptist Church since 2015. He grew up near Houston, Texas, and was blessed to be raised in a Christian family. From an early age, he benefited from regularly attending a non-denominational church and a Christian school. Through his parents, God graciously revealed the gospel to Jonathan at the age of five. He later made a public profession of faith and was baptized at age ten.
Jonathan attended Texas Tech University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. After graduation, he moved to Dallas, and through God’s providence, he came to fully embrace what are commonly known as the “Doctrines of Grace” for the first time. This had a profound impact on his life, greatly deepening his love, joy, and peace in the Lord.
Outside of work, Jonathan enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, working on home improvement projects, and learning about science and history. His desire is to faithfully steward all that God has graciously given him for the glory of God.
Deacon
Michael Quigley
Michael has spent most of his life in Waxahachie, Texas. When he was young, he grew up in the United Methodist Church, where his mom went. Early on, he learned the Ten Commandments and God’s love for His people. While he suffered from doubts and trials, he learned to trust in Christ alone for his salvation. He studied a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish at Auburn University in Alabama, and studied abroad twice in Spain. In 2007, while home from some grueling graduate-level Spanish studies, he went searching for a Bilingual Bible. He went into Pastor Walthers’ bookstore, and Pastor Walthers took an interest in him. He taught Michael the Doctrines of Grace and later encouraged Michael to come to church with him. He later received a Master of Arts in Theological Studies and is seeking to complete the Master of Divinity at Covenant Baptist Theological Seminary.
He is married to Khadeisha, a woman from Jamaica whom he met on a Reformed Singles website. He loves reading about various men throughout church history.
